The Villa

The retreat will be held in a gorgeous private luxury villa, just a 20-25 minute drive from Essaouira airport, the beach, and the medina.

Nestled in the serene countryside and surrounded by breathtaking views and argan trees, it’s the perfect place to disconnect from the outside world and immerse yourself in a sanctuary of peace.

Retreat Rooms & Early Bird Offers

There are 4 beautiful, spacious bedrooms available at the villa, each featuring a king sized bed, a single bed, and an en-suite bathroom. All the rooms are absolutely stunning and designed for maximum comfort.

The pictures below provided by the villa manager showcase examples of some of the rooms, though the exact room you are allocated may vary.

The early bird offers listed are available until midnight on Sunday 15th December 2024 (subject to availability), and an £800 deposit is required to reserve your room.

The Food

Our local Moroccan in-house chef will prepare delicious vegetarian meals for us at the villa, crafted from fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Vegan options will also be available during the retreat for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Examples of dishes that may be on the menu include vegetable tagine with couscous, aubergine roulade, beetroot carpaccio with a ginger, garlic, and honey glaze, falafels with tabbouleh, a hearty chickpea & lentil soup, and a refreshing fennel and apple salad.

Example desserts include lemon pie, tiramisu, and a Moroccan citrus fruit salad with spiced syrup!

For our final evening together we’ll head to a top-rated restaurant in the heart of Essaouira, and enjoy a 3 course meal. Dinner at the restaurant will be my treat, and one soft drink per person will be included.

A nourishing vegetarian breakfast, lunch, and dinner on days 2-4 - with the exception of day 4 evening where we will go for a special dinner at a local restaurant (includes a 3 course vegetarian meal and one soft drink per person).

Water, tea, coffee, and fresh fruit will be available throughout the retreat, and breakfast will be served on departure day.

Flights & Transfers

Free airport transfers are included if you book the recommended flights listed above. Flights are currently very reasonably priced, with return fares from just £97!

I highly recommend booking your flights as soon as possible, as there is only one direct flight from London to Essaouira flying out on 25th March, and returning on 29th March. Essaouira airport is approximately a 20-minute drive from the villa.

Check-in is from 4 pm on Tuesday, 25th March 2024 (although the villa manager will try and arrange an early check is possible nearer the time). Check-out is at 10 am on Saturday, 29th March 2024, so the flight times suggested should work perfectly.

Please don’t forget to take out travel insurance to protect yourself against illness, emergencies, or any changes in your circumstances that may require you to cancel your retreat booking.

About Sheena

Sheena Shah is a dedicated yoga teacher with over 10 years of experience, passionate about helping her students become spiritual warriors both on and off the mat.

Out of approximately 15,000 yoga teachers in the UK, Sheena was honoured to be shortlisted as one of the top 10 in the OM Yoga Awards in three categories this year : Favourite Yoga Teacher, Favourite Retreat, and Favourite Yoga Teacher Trainer.

She was also a finalist for a SHE Award in the Health & Fitness category, in recognition of her commitment to empowering others to strengthen both their mind and body through yoga. Her work has been featured in Om Yoga Magazine, Women’s Fitness Magazine, and Lots of Yoga.

In November 2023, Sheena had the honour of teaching a yoga class at BBC Asian presenter Noreen Khan's retreat in Morocco, and she knew in her heart she would come back one day and host her own!   • It’s completely natural to feel this way!

    One of the best things about retreats like this is the chance to connect with like-minded people who share your values and are on their own journeys of self-discovery.

    If you're feeling a bit anxious about coming alone, please know that you’ll be surrounded by some of the kindest, most beautiful humans on the planet and will feel very welcome from the moment you arrive.

    I’ll also create a WhatsApp group beforehand so you can meet your fellow retreat guests and start getting to know each other before we even get there!

  • A retreat packing will be sent to you three weeks before the retreat. Please remember to bring your own yoga mat, as it will be essential for our yoga sessions.

  • All meals at the retreat will be vegetarian, with vegan options available. If you have any allergies or specific dietary requirements, please let me know before booking, and I’ll check with our chef to ensure we can accommodate your needs.

  • If one person in a shared room decides to cancel while the other wants to go ahead, the following options are available:

    1. If the person who booked the room needs to cancel:

      This person is still responsible for covering the full payment for the room per their initially requested option, as set out on this webpage and in accordance with the retreat terms and conditions and cancellation policy.

      This person can find someone else to fill their spot (if required) no less than one month prior to the retreat if agreed with Sheena, or the remaining participant(s) can choose to stay and switch to a single or double occupancy option (as applicable) and would be responsible for paying the single or double occupancy rate (as applicable).

      Any payment adjustments should be managed between the participants.

    2. If the roommate (who didn’t book the room) cancels:

      The original participant(s) can either find a replacement(s) or cover the single or double occupancy rate (as applicable) to keep the room.

    The yoga classes are designed to be suitable for all levels, so you’ll be able to join in easily (as long as you have no existing injuries or medical conditions).
