Hey there! I’m Sheena.

Do you ever feel like you’ve lost connection with who you really are?

Like you don’t really know what your purpose here is, and you’ve forgotten what it feels like to live without anxiety and self-doubt?

If so you’re not alone. I’ve been there and I know what it’s like to go through life feeling small inside yourself.

As a child my knees constantly dislocated and doctors told me that without major surgery on both legs I could end up in a wheelchair by the age of 30.

I fell down almost every day while climbing the stairs, playing sports or even just walking - not only was this physically challenging, it also completely knocked my self-esteem.

I had surgery on my right knee in 2010, while in the middle of studying for my degree in Psychology at The University of Warwick.

Being stuck in my room with nothing but my own thoughts for company made me realise just how tired I was of feeling powerless all the time. When I fell into depression I knew that I needed to make a change and take control of my life.

When I finally told my parents, they gave me a book called ‘What is Disease’ by Neil Patel (the Founder of Chi Kri Yoga). I found it incredibly inspirational and the truth behind Neil’s words touched my soul in a way that nothing else ever had.

I knew Neil could teach me how to use the power of my mind in a positive way, so I reached out to him and I asked him to mentor me. I asked him to train me be mentally strong, and to teach me life lessons from spiritual texts such as the Bhagavad Gita.

We started 121 sessions, and little by little I started becoming the spiritual warrior I was born to be!

FREEDOM

Learning to meditate helped me to calm my mind, and make decisions from a space of confidence instead of fear

Working on my myself helped me feel more peaceful within myself and much more secure in all my relationships

Studying yoga philosophy helped me understand my purpose in this world, and gave me focus, clarity and direction in all areas of my life

STRENGTH

Yoga improved my leg strength & balance so much that in 2014 my surgeon said I no longer needed surgery on my left knee!
